Troubleshooting

Dishes not getting clean

Cause: Clogged filter, blocked spray arms, or insufficient water temperature
Solution: Clean the filter and spray arms, run hot water at the kitchen sink before starting a cycle, and use the proper amount of detergent.

Standing water in the bottom

Cause: Clogged filter, blocked drain hose, or garbage disposal knockout plug not removed
Solution: Clean the filter and drain area, check the drain hose for kinks, and ensure the garbage disposal knockout plug has been removed if newly installed.

Dishwasher leaking

Cause: Damaged door gasket, overuse of detergent, or loose hose connections
Solution: Inspect and replace the door gasket if worn, reduce detergent quantity, and tighten all hose connections.

White film or spots on dishes

Cause: Hard water mineral deposits
Solution: Use a rinse aid, check the rinse aid dispenser level, and consider running a vinegar cleaning cycle.

Bad odor from dishwasher

Cause: Food debris trapped in filter or door gasket
Solution: Clean the filter, wipe the door gasket and edges, and run a hot cycle with a cup of vinegar on the top rack.
