Troubleshooting

Washer not draining

Cause: Clogged drain pump filter, kinked drain hose, or pump failure

Solution: Clean the drain pump filter (usually behind a small panel at the bottom front), check the drain hose for kinks, and ensure the standpipe height is correct.

Musty smell from washer

Cause: Mold and mildew buildup in the door gasket and drum

Solution: Run a hot cleaning cycle with bleach or washer cleaner, wipe down the door gasket, and leave the door ajar between uses.

Excessive vibration during spin

Cause: Washer not level, unbalanced load, or shipping bolts still installed

Solution: Level the washer using the adjustable feet, redistribute the load, and verify shipping bolts have been removed (new installations).

Water leaking from washer

Cause: Loose hose connections, damaged door seal, or oversudsing

Solution: Tighten water supply hose connections, inspect the door seal for tears, and use HE detergent in the correct amount.

Reset Procedures

General Reset

Press the Power button to turn off the washer.
Unplug the washer from the outlet.
Wait 1 minute.
Plug the washer back in and power on.
Select a new cycle and press Start.

Safety Warnings

Replace rubber water supply hoses with braided stainless steel hoses to prevent burst flooding. Rubber hoses should be replaced every 3–5 years.

Turn off water supply valves when the washer will not be used for an extended period (vacation, etc.).

Never overload the washer — it can damage the suspension, bearings, and motor.
