Troubleshooting

Oven not heating

Cause: Faulty igniter (gas) or burned-out bake element (electric)
Solution: For gas: check if the igniter glows but doesn't ignite gas — replace igniter. For electric: visually inspect the bake element for breaks or burn marks.

Uneven cooking or baking

Cause: Faulty temperature sensor, poor calibration, or blocked air circulation
Solution: Check the temperature sensor with an oven thermometer, recalibrate if your model supports it, and avoid blocking vents with foil.

Gas smell when burner is off

Cause: Gas leak at connection or valve
Solution: Turn off the gas supply immediately. Open windows for ventilation. Do not use any electrical switches. Contact your gas company or a professional.

Self-clean cycle not working

Cause: Door latch mechanism failure or control board issue
Solution: Ensure the door is fully closed. If the latch won't engage, it may need replacement. Do not attempt to force the latch.

  1. Turn off the oven using the control panel.
  2. Turn off the circuit breaker for the range.
  3. Wait 1–2 minutes.
  4. Turn the circuit breaker back on.
  5. Set the clock if prompted.
